Grandview Lodge Bed and Breakfast is open for business again

Terry and Nancy Ferguson purchased the inn this past summer, and after some significant remodeling, reopened it in August of 2008. Grandview Lodge first opened 75 years ago in the old 1890 farmhouse that was originally part of an 800 acre farm. Terry and Nancy are working diligently to restore the farmhouse to its 1890s feel while working to expand their dining room to accommodate more guests.

Grandview Lodge takes their dining seriously, and does a five course dinner which is open to the public each Saturday night by reservation only. On Sunday, they also provide a brunch, again by reservation. Dinner prices range from $21.95 - $27.95 per person depending on the entrée served. Sunday brunch is only $14.95.

Grandview Lodge can accommodate up to 55 diner guests currently, but the new expansion will allow for up to 100 guests, not to mention providing increased space for family reunions, wedding parties and other groups.

On the “Bed side” of the Bed & Breakfast, Grandview Lodge has 12 guest rooms, including three suites, and a two-bedroom, two bath cottage with full kitchen. Each of the rooms is named after a prominent Waynesville family, including the Medfords, who were the original owners of the house, and the Ferguson’s own family.

We haven’t tried dinner there just yet, but have it on our list. We’ll write up a full and comprehensive Grandview Lodge review as soon as we can.
